Good coaches are critical to the success of the Sterling Soccer Association - without them, there would be no program. Regardless of the score, the weather, or how their day has been, a good coach will make every child feel special and have fun as they play soccer. Not only being there with your child(ren) is fun, but you can also have a positive impact on all the other kids' experiences as well.

TEN GREAT COACHING TIPS:
  1. Be Sensitive to Every Child's Needs.
  2. Get the Kids to Believe in Themselves.
  3. Don't Let Noisy Parents Get out of Control.
  4. Cooperate with Officials.
  5. Be Careful When Trying Reverse Psychology on a Child.
  6. Forget the Knute Rockne Pep Talks.
  7. Keep in Mind That Motivation Still Comes from within the Child.
  8. Be More Than Fair - Be a Good Coach.
  9. Remember That the Younger the Kids, the Less Important the Score.
  10. When in Doubt, Stand Back and Enjoy!
